Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Controller, located in Pune. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, financial statements, accounting, and analysis of financial data. Additionally, the role holder will be required to collaborate effectively with the management team for review of financial performance.

 

Qualifications

  • Financial Statements, Financial Reporting, and Accounting skills
  • Analytical Skills and Finance expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, practices, and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Experience of 10-12 years is preferred in related financial management role
  • Advanced degree such as Master's in Accounting or CPA is a plus

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial functions of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the organization.

 

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.
  • Present financial reports to executive management and stakeholders.

 

Internal Controls:

  • Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

 

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital.

 

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local and national tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members.

 

Financial Systems and Technology:

  • Evaluate and implement financial systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in finance.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (12-15 years) in a financial management or controller role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in India.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
